The 4th edition of the Choiseul Africa Business Forum, held in Casablanca on November 16 and 17, 2023, took place under the High Patronage of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, in partnership with the Casablanca-Settat Region and the General Confederation of Moroccan Entreprises (CGEM), on the theme of African economic sovereignty.
Organized for the second time in Morocco, this key event for the African business world showcased the Kingdom’s modern economic influence, and honored Benin by highlighting its political and economic model, notably through a speech by Ms Mariam Chabi TALATA, Vice-President of the Republic of Benin.
THE FUTURE IS AFRICAN!
Economic sovereignty in Africa was the central theme of the 4th Choiseul Africa Business Forum. The exchanges and discussions highlighted the many opportunities that the African continent offers, as well as the aspirations of populations and governments to achieve true economic sovereignty for the continent. In addition, these dialogues fostered the emergence of concrete solutions, notably in the fields of agri-food value chains, private mega-projects in infrastructure, innovative financial systems, as well as public-private partnerships (PPP) and inter-regional
cooperation.
Alongside this prolific program, the Choiseul Africa Awards ceremony rewarded economic and social players who had distinguished themselves through high value-added projects. Four trophies were awarded: Entrepreneur of the Year to Mr Abdullahi BASHIR HASKE, Group Managing Director of AA&R Investment Group; Digital Talent of the Year to Mr Sangu DELLE, Chairman and CEO of Care Point and Golden Palm Investment; Woman of the Year to Ms Mia LAHLOU FILALI, Managing Director of Pharma 5 and the Grand Prix Choiseul to Ms Fatma SAMOURA, Secretary General of FIFA.
